 Indian Institute of Sciences Bangalore (IISc) invites online application for admission to undergraduate science (research oriented) programme for 2018. As IISc is one of the best and premier Institute of India in the field of Research and Technology, the course is totally based on the research and which is designed as a balance blend of core Science and interdisciplinary topics to serve as a platform for attractive career opportunities in academia and industry.

Name of the course: four years Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme.

Eligibility: Candidates who have completed their Class XII in 2017 and those who are expecting to complete their Class XII in 2018 are also eligible to apply. The Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects during their Class XII standard. Candidates who have studied Biology, Statistics, and electronics, Computer Science etc. in addition to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are also eligible to apply. The Candidates must have secured a first class or 60% or Equivalent grade (relaxed to pass class for SC/ST candidates) in their Class XII standard.

Selection Method:

Selection is based on the merit of one of the following national examinations.

1. KVPY-SA (appeared in 2016and selected for the fellowship).

2. KVPY-SB (Appeared in 2017 and selected for the Fellowship).

3. KVPY-SA and SX fellows selected through the empowerment Initiative for SC/ST candidates.

4. IIT-JEE-Main (Appearing in 2018 and securing minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PwD).

5.  NEET-UG appearing in 2018 and securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PwD).

Application fee is Rs. 500/- for all and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
