UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission ), New Delhi, notified vide Examination Notification No. 06/2017 –CSP Dated 22.02.2017 for holding Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2017 for subsequent selection Mains and Interview for selection of Officers under Various Cadres viz, IAS (Indian Administrative Service), IFS (Indian Foreign Service), IRS (Indian Revenue Service for Income Tax Department and Central Excise and Customs), etc of Different department and Ministry under Central Government of India and Union Territories of India.
Date of Preliminary Examination : 18th June, 2017
Qualification : Any Graduate
Age Limit : 21 years to 32 years as on 1st August, 2017 ( Relaxation as per the rules)
Number of Attempts : 6 attempts for everyone except for SC/ST candidates. Provided further that the number of attempts permissible to candidates belonging to OBC , who are otherwise eligible shall be NINE attempts. The relaxation will be available to candidates who are eligible to avail of Reservation applicable to such candidates.
Exam fee is Rs. 100 ( Except for Female/SC/ST/PH candidates who are exempted from payment of fees).
